Founder's Work Schedule
5:30AM Wake Up → 7AM Workday Start. Here's what I learned.
Checking in to let you know how my first week of my new scheduling went.
What inspired this? A kid I went to high school with is a successful entrepreneur and sent out his daily schedule.
Key takeaways I took away:
Get up at the same time each day
Structure your day to get your core work done in the first few hours.
→ Leave meetings, emails, socials, content creation, etc. for later in the day.
I had already been getting up at 6am, but realized my morning routine was taking a good chunk of time.
So, I bumped waking up to 5:30am and then was able to start working at 7am.
This made a huge difference.
By 2-3pm when I was headed for an afternoon workout, I already had completed the majority of my workday.
Anything additional afterwards would be “extra” work to push my business forward.
Morning Clothes vs. Daytime Clothes: A new element I also tested.
→ Getting up at 5:30am is much easier when I can put on comfy clothes.
Top half is in my daytime clothes, but the bottom half are in sweats and Crocs—comfy clothes.
Then, by mid morning I change the bottom half to daytime clothes.
It’s a small change, but has helped quite a bit.
What can you pick up from this?
Get up at the same time each day. Your body learns fast, and you won’t need to rely on an alarm which makes for a smoother morning.
Prioritize your core work, or most important things, to be accomplished first thing in your day.
Create a handwritten daily schedule/to-do list you can cross items off of. A huge help to boost productivity and get more done.
Emphasis on handwritten. Digital lists are not the same.
Audyx Beta: We are in full swing of testing this! Testers have until Thursday, May 29th to complete the survey.
And with that, I hope you have a great Memorial Day Weekend ahead of you!
