Working on my laptop a few days ago and I see an iMessage come across my screen: “Hi Michael - I quit _____”
I was shocked at first, but then when I read more of the conversation it turned out it was for the best for my previous coworker, and friend.
Was I ultimately surprised?
No.
It was a move that was likely coming, but also shocking as I had thought things were improving in the workspace.
(This being from a conversation with the friend a few months ago.)
However, it turns out that the issues I uncovered in my 10 weeks there were still happening and got to a point that my friend could not take any more.
I’m happy this friend was able to get out of the situation, and that things in time will begin to heal and get better for them.
→ But. This is also exactly why I created Audyx.
To prevent experiences like this from happening time and time again in companies.
Cue, “What is Audyx?” ↓
I hope after watching this and learning more about Audyx that you’ll see my true heart behind what I built.
It came out of necessity and the horror of living in an unideal work situation, with not-so-great-feelings and an attitude towards why it was built.
However, I was greatly humbled (and daily need to remind myself of humility) to see that I really built this in order to help others.
Those who are under leaders who may not be treating them correctly, and especially for leaders who are trying their best to stay afloat but need additional help in their position.
So, if you are in either of these situations, please reach out to me.
Even if you’re not able to use Audyx, I’m happy to talk with you and be a listening ear to what you’ve experienced.
It’s in these conversations that a lot healing can happen, and in which you can confidently move forward and out of where you’ve been stuck.
Wishing you the best,
Michael
